Spalted Sycamore 75mm wide, 33mm High has six slots at 120 degree intervals on the box sidewall. The lid detail features a Paua Dot Inlay.

Inspired by Terry Evans Wood Art this is a turned bandsaw box made from laminated contrasting timbers. Height 140 mm. The lid has an insert of beech burl framed in copper. The bandsawn sections have been contoured to accentuate the laminations reminiscent of rolls of flab.

Boxed Alder Burl, African Blackwood - 62mm Diameter at base, 60mm High. The Blackwood contrasts nicely with the figured burl, special care was taken to ensure the grain lined up. 

A traditional shaped jewelry box turned from red beech burl with copper accents. The box is finished with the Beall system. The dimensions are 120mm diameter by 60mm high.  

Experimenting with scraps and offcuts can be rewarding when this H170mm x D200mm Elm & Rimu container, finished with Polyurethane, is the result.

This lidded box made from sycamore is ideal for storing something precious. I have carved both lid and body with one of my contemporary pyro designs depicting intertwining vines in our native bush with koru fern.

Walnut Box - 52mm Diameter at base, 45mm High. A lovely small trinket box. This piece of Walnut was recovered from a badly split bowl blank destined for the fire.
